Greg Anthony Thinks Sixers is the "Sleeper" of the Atlantic

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kerr said in a phone interview that he believes the season also poses other questions, including these:

Can the Indiana Pacers live up to their championship potential?

Can the Miami Heat find places for all their new players?

And can Chris Webber fit into the 76ers' defensive scheme?

Over at ESPN, analyst Greg Anthony thinks the Sixers are "the sleeper" of the Atlantic Division.

"They can take the division," Anthony said in a conference call with reporters. The team has the "core nucleus" for success.

The question for the Sixers is whether Webber can be "the complementary guy to play alongside [Allen] Iverson."

Former Cavaliers coach Paul Silas, who has just joined ESPN as an analyst, described new Sixers coach Maurice Cheeks as "a player's coach" and said his hiring "will bode well for the team in general."

Like Kerr, the ESPN analysts were intrigued by the Heat and how the six new players who arrived during the off-season will fit in.

"Miami is the exciting story," ESPN analyst Bill Walton said. "That's where the drama is."

The story lines will begin to unfold tomorrow night when the games begin.

First up for viewers across the nation is a TNT doubleheader pitting the NBA champion San Antonio Spurs against the Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks against the Phoenix Suns. (Local viewers can also watch the 76ers host the Milwaukee Bucks tomorrow night on Comcast SportsNet.)
TNT will carry 52 regular-season games this year, plus the All-Star Game. The 76ers will appear only twice: on the road against the Chicago Bulls on Feb. 16 and at home against the Denver Nuggets on March 9.

The Sixers will lead off ESPN's coverage when they face the Eastern Conference champion Detroit Pistons in the first game of a TV doubleheader on Wednesday night. The Lakers will take on the Nuggets in the second game.

ESPN and ESPN2 will televise 70 regular-season games, including six 76ers games.

NBA TV, available as an addition to basic cable or satellite service, will carry 96 regular-season games, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday featuring the Sixers at the Indiana Pacers and the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Los Angeles Clippers.

National audiences will see the Sixers nine times on NBA TV.</div>
