I know he's another year from this draft, but I always read about him and how he's definately going to be an awesome power player in the mold of Duncan and Robinson... but is he really that sure of a thing to be great? Amare and Howard have been really great players out of high school and only Howard was hyped at all, but nothing like Oden. I was jus wondering if anyone had any interesting articles or whatever about him because I really am interested to see how great this guy will really be.

Dwight and Oden are 2 different hypes. Dwight was questioned when he got picked #1(most analysts and Magic posters though we should have picked Okafor), while Oden has Lebron's hype where he is locked at #1. (well if he was able to come out this year). It depends how he does in his 1 year of college whether or not he will be a #1.

I've watched him at some All American camps, and honestly, I dont see a #1 overall pick. Lottery sure, but I think he's gonna get knocked on his ass the first couple years in the L. It's his size and skill set that have him so hyped. The lack of true centers in the NBA today is what makes him so valuable however.
