Well, the odds of Quentin Griffin entrenching himself as the Broncos starting RB just went up a notch. He scored a touchdown and had 53 yards on 13 carries against the Texans while Mike Anderson pulled his groin severely last night. That really sucks for Anderson and for Denver, but it makes me feel a lot safer about my third round pick. I don't think Hearst will steal much of his thunder. As a side note, Michael Bennett sprained his knee last night. Not good, especially with O. Smith's suspension looming.
So what do you think about Tatum Bell? Will he impact Griffin? As for Bennett, I heard he walked off and should be fine.
Bell's got a fractured finger and I think you have to go with Hearst over Bell for experience's sake... I really think Griffin is going to be a workhorse in Denver this year. Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but...
Griffin really looks like their guy. Don't get me wrong, but Shanahan drafted Bell for a reason. He likes those small, quick running backs. It should be interesting. If I had to bet money though, I would say Griffin is a safe choice through the first half of the season.
