Griffin returned to Houston, his home for 2 1/2 years, telling the Nets he planned to check back into the rehabilitation clinic where he spent much of the fall and continue to receive counseling for his emotional troubles. Nets senior vice president of basketball operations Ed Stefanski said he was not aware of any specific incident that might have led to Griffin's decision, or of any new substance problems or legal problems for Griffin, who has had a history of both. The Nets have set no timetable for Griffin's return: It was his decision to leave the team and it will be his decision when he feels he wants to return. "He said he doesn't feel like he's ready for the NBA life right now, so he's going back to rehab," Stefanski said. That is a good decision, he thought he wasnt ready and he checked back in to rehab...that is a very mature thing to do and shows that he wants his problems solved.
