<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Grizzlies have not yet played a game in the 2005-2006 NBA season, but their overall record will be 67-15 and 41-1 on the road.

Well, at least that's the projected record in terms of games that will be televised vs. games that won't be televised.

Of the 67 TV games, FSN South will carry 60 of them. WMC will carry five games and ESPN and TNT will do one each. Five times, games will be carried by both FSN South and NBA TV.

Coverage begins with the season opener Nov. 2 (on WMC-TV) at FedExForum against the Miami Heat and Shaquille O'Neal and former Grizzlies Jason Williams and James Posey.

"I always start wanting to get every road game on television, if possible, for the fans," Grizzlies senior vice president of broadcast Randy Stephens said Tuesday. "We couldn't get Feb. 26 at Minnesota because WMC will be in the middle of its Olympics coverage and FSN had a national commitment, but I'm happy we got 40 of 41."

The first national exposure will come with the annual Martin Luther King Day game against San Antonio at FedExForum on Monday, Jan. 16, on TNT. ESPN will carry the Jan. 25 game here against the Timberwolves; five other games will air on NBA TV.

Stephens attributed the light national schedule to the Grizzlies being the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference last season and playing in a small market.

"But there's always the possibility of adding games down the stretch," he said. "ABC added Phoenix-Memphis last spring." </div>
