Tonight at 9:30 eastern the Grizzlies will take on the Los Angeles Lakers. Early in the year the Grizz beat LA and O'Neal might not play tonight!

I think this game will be a true test for the Memphis Grizzlies. If they can hang with the Lakers, play them close, and possibly beat them then I think they will prove to most people that they are playoff caliber.

The Lakers crushed the Grizz 121-89. Shaq did not play tonite. Kobe Bryant scored 28 and Malone finished with 20. I didn't get to see the game though.

The Lakers played great tonight, and well...the Grizzlies didn't. The Grizzlies were leading at a point, but half way through the second quarter, kobe and the lakers took over.

Kobe played amazing, made some tough shots, shooting one handed floaters while falling out of bounce, hitting those cork-screw-pivot-fadeaways left and right. The Laker bench played well too. Medvedenko had a double-double, and Bryon Russell continued his hot shooting over the last couple of games. Payton and Malone also had double-doubles. Shaq did not play.

On the other side of the ball, foul trouble and turnovers plagued Memphis. They could never recover from their collapse at the end of the first half.

Thanks for the recap. I wish I could've seen it. When the Lakers play together, they look unbeatable.

Wave when did you get off the J-will bandwagon? You listed Jason as the #7 point guard in the NBA. This is one of your quotes "J-Will gets 12.5 PPG, 9.5 APG (2nd in the league), and he is second in the league in assists/turnovers. How the hell do you figure that all those guys are better? You are alone on this one, pal." By the way people I have seen every Grizzlies game with the exception of less then 10 on tv. I have also seen at least 30 games when J-will was on Sac, and 10 since he is on the grizzlies including games in Memphis(road trip lol) in person so when it comes to J-will I am no rookie but obviously I am gonna be a little biased but I really don't think Earl Watson is a better fit as a starting point guard but again thats just me. I don't know if you guys noticed its hard for the Grizzlies when Jason struggles to win even when Pau or Miller play bad the Grizzlies still have a chance so he really sets the tone. At the grizzlies-kings game on tues I will be sitting first row under the basket wearing a J-will jersey look for me lol its on NBATV.

I knew the Lakers would punish us on their home coart, but I still think we have respect from the upper teams who come to play in our building
