<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MEMPHIS, Tenn., Feb. 11 (Ticker) -- The Memphis Grizzlies knew the Los Angeles Clippers were down. They decided to kick them anyway. Pau Gasol led five players in double figures with 22 points as the Grizzlies won for the fourth time in five games, defeating the shorthanded Clippers, 110-102. The Clippers played without Corey Maggette and Quentin Richardson, two of their top three scorers. Maggette sat out with a sore hip and Richardson has a deep right thigh bruise. The Grizzlies appeared as if they would blow the game wide open early by opening an 18-point second-quarter lead on their way to a 64-47 haltime advantage.</div> RecaplBoxscore The game was on television, so my guess is a good as yours as to how the game truely went. However, the game that jumps out at me from the boxscore was Eddie House's. He showed that he could be a starter in this league (if he didn't already prove it in Miami). He almost got a triple-double in Richardson's absence. Overall, I was not impressed with the final score. The Clippers were without two of their three main offensive weapons and we were only able to win by 8. <u>Team Leaders:</u> Clippers - Points - Elton Brand (24) Rebounds - Elton Brand (15) Assists - Eddie House (7) Grizzlies - Points - Pau Gasol (22) Rebounds - Lorenzen Wright (10) Assists - Jason Williams (10) Next big preview coming Tuesday for the Mavs/Grizz game! Sorry for not doing them in a while.
Eddie House with 10 rebounds over people like Gasol and Wright? LMAO. Good win for te Grizz. Still looks to be a matter of who gets 6th spot between the Rockets and Grizz.
Wow, the Grizz have improved a lot over the years. I just hope they dont drop out of the playoff race.

I believe the Nuggets are not experienced enough to stay consistent down the stretch. If it is gonna be three teams, I'd think it'll be Portland and the other two.
Denver have proven vets on their team, Grizzles and Rockets are no more experienced than the Nuggets Portland and Seattle will both be in the hunt to make a push for the playoffs as well. It's going to be an interesting 2nd half of the season.

Amen. Hopefully the Grizz can keep this up. I have a feeling that Hubie Brown won't let this team slip very much. And the Grizzlies do have veterans, (ie. players with playoff experience) or at very least as much as Denver, and Houston. We have a better coach than any of those teams, and with the youth on all three of those rosters, that'll be huge.
However, the Grizz need to think of their future. Hubie Brown is not the long-term solution at head coach and the Grizzlies need to think of a replacement in case he retires.
Jerry West said that he wants Hubie Brown to be the only coach he has during his tenure as GM (other than 8 games with Sydney Lowe, hahaha). I don't think he's going anywhere. Not for a few years at least. He's in good health, and all that. 70 is, damn.
