There was word out of Philadelphia that Memphis had called Toronto offering Bonzi Wells and Mike Miller. There was talk that Philadelphia had called Toronto offering something else. All of that wasn't to suggest that the deal being discussed with Portland was dead. (Said guard Jalen Rose, who figures into some of those Pacific northwest permutations: "You keep the phone lines open and the moving company on hold.")

According to this Article Wells and Miller have been offered for him. Another team after this guy. Soon the whole NBA's going to wan't him. I think Memephis should stay with what they have. They shouldn't disrupt chemistry.

The last thing we want in Memphis is Vince Carter crying about playing time. Bonzi Wells has been playing like an All-Star, and Mike Miller is always a solid contributer. I would hate to see us execute this trade. I heard another trade though. I heard that the Vince/Reef thing would still happen, except we'd get Reef, Toronto would get Bonzi/Mike, and Portland would get Vince. I wouldn't be as opposed to that trade idea.

I like any trade that gets Mike Miller off my team.

And I don't think that VC would complain about playing time, honestly.

If I were Toronto, there's no way I'd let him go for just Bonzi and Eminem.

    About the other scenario:
I love Shareef, but I don't think I want him on my team.

Is it mere coincidence that last year was his first year with the Blazers, and also the first time in over twenty (24?) years that they missed the playoffs?

The man's cursed, nice guys finish last, etc.

Toronto seems a little desperate. Carter is only averaging about 15 ppg and he's demanding a trade. Their options are really limited at the moment.

Anyway, this trade has been rumored for about five days now and nothing has happened yet, so I'm beginning to think that it was just a rumor. Also, I heard that if we were involved then we would in fact get Reef and not Carter, but that could just be rumor to.

I'm just as opposed to getting rid of Miller. I've always seen him as an always-injured, underachieving, choker. However, Bonzi Wells has been the best player on our team in the last few games. Not only have his numbers been amazing, but he's really fitting in with the team this season. I don't want to send Bonzi Wells out of Memphis anytime soon.
