The Memphis Grizzlies today assigned rookie guard Tony Wroten to the Reno Bighorns, the Grizzlies’ NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the first for Wroten. Wroten (6-6, 208, Washington) has appeared in three games for Memphis this season, averaging 2.7 minutes. Selected in the first round, 25th overall, of the 2012 NBA Draft, Wroten spent one year with the Huskies, when he averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals.
