<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The nickname given Grizzlies guard Dahntay Jones, by teammate Ryan Humphrey, seems to fit. Humphrey calls Jones "Rod Tidwell," the exceedingly confident NFL wide receiver character in the movie "Jerry Maguire." Tidwell's favorite line throughout the movie was "Show me the money," referring to his contract negotiations. But in Jones's case, it's: "Show me the playing time." With four Grizzlies sidelined with injuries and another questionable at game time on Tuesday, Jones got the second start of his two-year pro career and drilled 17 points, including 4-of-4 threes, in a stunning 108-97 victory over the Suns. "We're one of the deepest teams in the NBA, and we have a lot of guys starving to play," said Jones, a 6-6 leapin' large swingman who had career highs in points, minutes played, field goals made and attempted and three pointers made. "Guys like myself, Ryan Humphrey and Antonio Burks have all kept working hard to get a chance to show what we can do. Everybody has told me to be patient and I have while I've kept working. This has been a long time coming." Jones's willingness to stick his face in the middle of any situation is why Humphrey calls him "Rod Tidwell." Just last week, Jones threw a dunk down in the face of Cavs' superstar LeBron James. </div> Source
