WOW! When I read about the writeup on tonight's game against Denver, I read about his death. That hit me big time. I watched some of his games on FSN South and he is a darn good announcer. Very enthauistic on the Grizz and a huge basketball fan. He had a beautiful voice. This is a huge loss to the NBA, the Grizzlies franchise, and to the city of Memphis. I am really shocked. He never seemed to have health problems and he seemed energetic as always. I am stunned. Don Poier passed away at 53 years old. That's scary. My dad is 57 and it sure makes me think more than ever with lot of people dying nowadays.
