<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Brian Grant is 31 years old, but like his younger teammates, the Heat forward/center has endured some growing pains this season.

After having three double-doubles in Miami's first 20 games, Grant has three double-doubles in the past three games. Not coincidentally, the Heat has won all three and looks for its fourth consecutive win tonight against the Atlanta Hawks.

''The team is coming together,'' said Grant, who has averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds in the past three games. ``I never want to say it's here, because a team this young, this new is always evolving. We were in our infancy stage when we were 0-7. We grew up a little bit as toddlers when we got our first win. We kind of hit our adolescent stage there when we were losing games, but winning a couple. Now, I think we're in our teenage years getting ready to cross into adulthood.''</div>

There's no doubt the Heat have improved from last season. They have a great future with Wade/Odom/Butler and Grant.

Wade is exactly what the Heat need, which is offense.

yeah, Grant and Wade, as well as Odom and Butler, seem to provide what the Heat need.

But c'mon, give some love to my boy Eddie Jones. I KNOW everyone complains about his big contract, but not only does he bring scoring and veteran leadership, he is one of the most underrated defensive stoppers in the league. He did lead the league in steals in '00 with the Hornets, the last time someone other than AI did it(this will be Iverson's fourth consecutive steals title, a record).

Brian Grant is actually tied with Shaq in offensive rebounds per game. While Brian Grant doesn't have the height of other centers, he has the strength that the tall skinny guys don't have. If there is a scrum, you're almost guaranteed to see Grant running out of it with the ball, he is a power house and does not get the recognition he deserves.

Dwyane Wade may not have received the hype that LeBron received, but Wade certainly has had a larger impact on the Heat than LeBron has had on the Cavs, and for that, I feel Wade is a better candidate for the ROY award. I'd love to see the two of them go one on one [IMG].

Lamar Odom is the star player that the Heat have been missing since 'Zo went to the Nets, he is a rebounding machine and his performance thus far in the season shows how much of an asset he is to the team.

EJ is a great all around player and is the best defensive player on the Heat. He can play tight D, he can pull off highlight interceptions, and he can hit clutch 3's when the game is on the line. He is a fast break mastar, and I must agree, his salary is definitely way too high, but Eddie Jones is a necessity to this team and if that's what EJ wants, then that's what EJ shall get.

All we need now is to get Zhizhi some game time and we're set [IMG]. The Heat is a playoff caliber team and they now have the players they need, Stan Van Gundy has the experience and drive to lead this team and the 2004-2005 NBA season will be the year of the HEAT!
