    Pitching matchup
TOR: RHP Dustin McGowan (2-3, 4.38)
McGowan takes the place of Roy Halladay, who tossed 2 1/3 innings of relief on Sunday against the Phillies in a game delayed twice for a total of two hours, 43 minutes by rain. McGowan has been inconsistent, looking good one start and dubious the next. He had his roughest start of the season in his last outing, getting touched by the Indians for nine runs in 3 2/3 innings in a 12-0 loss on May 10.

LAA: RHP John Lackey (0-0, 1.29 ERA)
Lackey will make his second start since returning from the disabled list. In his 2008 debut on Wednesday against the White Sox, and he threw seven innings, giving up one run on six hits. Lackey had a career-best 19 victories in '07 and led the AL with a 3.01 ERA. He is 2-2 with a 3.57 ERA against the Jays.

    2-1 Angels. Top 3rd.
