Despite being taller than Gasol, I expect Ilgauskas to fall short in this prospected matchup with the Spaniard being too tough to handle. Drew Gooden v Hakim Warrick ?If this is the matchup, Gooden will be played. He might have to be matched up with Gasol and that would be terrible. However, I think Warrick could start and Gooden will be happier with that. Warrick could be tough at times, but I think that Gooden will be able to handle him for most of the game. LeBron James v Shane Battier ? LeBron should dominate his matchup again and Battier will have to put up a great game to stop LeBron from reaching 22-5-5. My prediction is that LeBron will get 29-9-9. Larry Hughes v Eddie Jones ? This should be interesting because you have a great outside defender on one side and a great outside shooter on the other. I think it will be a tight matchup, but I?m tipping Hughes due to his superior all around game. Eric Snow v Damon Stoudamire ? Another interesting matchup and I expect it to come out pretty even. Similar stats for both guys, maybe Stoudamire will get more points, but nothing that the rest of the Cavs can?t match up with.
SCORE PREDICTION
95-93
ok. I did this a few days ago and spent a while trying to figure out the Grizzlies lineup. Guess I got it wrong.
Keep the good previews coming, chingy. Grizzlies have a 56-55 lead at halftime. LeBron leads the Cavs with 18 pts and Damon Jones has 12 pts off the bench. It's hurting by not having Donyell Marshall's presense off the bench, but I think Henderson has done a nice job filling in with 5 pts and 6 boards off the bench. Am I the only one that would like to see Damon Jones start over Snow? Snow seems like he's afraid to shoot the ball(0 pts in the first 2 games, has 0 tonight). Jones definitely is not afraid to shoot the ball and he provides the Cavs with a better outside shooter unlike Snow...

Quoting UKOwnstheSEC:

Am I the only one that would like to see Damon Jones start over Snow?
No, most people want Damon including myself
Quote:

Snow seems like he's afraid to shoot the ball(0 pts in the first 2 games, has 0 tonight).
He should be afraid to shoot the ball, because he sucks at shooting. He is a career 42.8% shooter and from 3 he shoots 21.6% for his career. Last season he shot 38.2% from the field which is just painful

So therefore, it's time for Coach Brown to get Damon Jones in there...
He may have spent time improving his jumpshot, but not his ability to get into a position to make the jumpshot. lol
