Zydrunas Ilgauskas v Tony Battie – Really, there is nothing that the former Texas Tech player should be able to do better than the big Lithuanian. However, Ilgauskas could fall over this hurdle. Nevertheless, I expect Big Z to come up trumps here.
Drew Gooden v Dwight Howard – To be honest, I think that this will be a more one-sided matchup than most people think. On paper, Gooden looks good enough to match last year’s number 1 draft pick, but I actually think that he won’t. I’m tipping Dwight Howard to win this matchup.
LeBron James v Hedo Turkoglu – It’s LeBron against a second string Forward. Sorry, Hedo, but you stand no chance. LeBron to win this one.
Larry Hughes v DeShawn Stevenson – DeShawn has been tipped for a breakout season by many this year. He has shown slight promise, but nothing immediate. I think that Hughes should be able to outplay Stevenson, but Larry has not been playing well. I’m tipping Hughes to win this, but not by as much as you might expect.
Eric Snow v Steve Francis – Eric Snow has a chance to prove whether or not he can stand up in his moment of truth. Stevie Franchise should, and in my opinion will, outplay Snow.
