Made a game thread for the Nets' forum so I figured I might as well post it here too.
(12-13) @ (9-14) When: 7:30 Eastern, 4:30 Pacific Where: Continental Airlines Arena (New Jersey) <font size=""2"">Nets' Starting Lineup <font size=""2"">
Nets' Stat Leaders: PPG: Vince Carter (26.5) RPG: Jason Kidd (8.7) APG: Jason Kidd (9.4) <font size=""2"">Warriors' Starting Lineup

<font size=""2"">
Warriors' Stats Leaders: PPG: Baron Davis (20.4) RPG: Andris Biedrins (9.4) APG: Baron Davis (8.4)
Nets' Key to game: - Slow down Monta and Andris: These are the two young players on the Warriors and they can be a handful. They are both young players with bright futures. Monta will kill you on the fastbreak and Andris will kill you in the post. Warriors' Key to game: - Shutdown Vince Carter: When Vince is shut down like he was the last two games, the best scorer on the team won't be able to shoot as well and will settle for jumpers instead of drives to the basket. Predictions: Jason Kidd will have to take care of Baron Davis and Marcus Williams will have to take care of Monta Ellis. Two star points guards and two young point guards with bright futures. Should be a hall of a point guard dual. I predict that the Warriors take this one by a few points and I wouldn't be surprised if the Nets win by a few points either. This game is between my two favorite teams and I can not wait to watch it! GO WARRIORS!! GO NETS!!

AnimeFANatic Wrote

Which one team do you WANT to win?
Probably Warriors cause the Nets are already in playoff position despite their horrible record. The Warriors will need all the wins they can get to make the playoffs. But I wouldn't care if the Nets won because they are struggling.

Nothing like sympathy vote Don't worry, man, I feel sorry for the Warriors too. Baron must be hating Mullin right now. Since he came here, no FA movement. I wonder why? I can't help be negative because we lost some window of opportunity to find out where we were back in 2004 before locking people up. Ahh I can't revisit this, but that is what happens when we can't beat the teams we are supposed to beat...
I don't think Dunleavy starts this game. I wonder how long it will take Ike to get used to the zone defense aka gets significant playing time. And Murphy? But yeah I think Barnes starts at PF like he has been doing. I wonder if JRich starts though, he is supposed to be available to play in this game.
Yeah Murphy and his mystery foot. Doesnt he usually play well when he gets to go back home and play JErsey? I think i would rather see Ike start over BArnes at the 4, but i am sure Ike is a long way from game shape.
Would like to see Ike get some PT but yeah, I don't think he's ready for big minutes yet either. I frankly expect to see some turnovers from him at this point. And while I want to see JRich back as well, he may hurt the team more than help them if he tries to come back too early again. We can't have any position either shoot us out of a game or turn invisible if we expect to win these games. We need all 5 guys to have a presence, and everyone needs to get involved defensively, for ALL FOUR QUARTERS. We let a Boshless Raptors team drop 120 on us, that is just flat-out embarrassing.
My word i hope we win. On the bright side Jrich is back and in the starting lineup. Our problem is the slow starts in the first quarter. We always fall behind early
Here we go again slow start down by 9...i dont understand why Nelson keeps putting in smaller players when game after game we get out rebound. I'm thinking we need to start Ike or something to get some boards and atleast help Biedrins out to defend the paint

Carter Wrote

VC has been quiet as hell.
No 9 three pointers from him tonight!

AnimeFANatic Wrote

No 9 three pointers from him tonight!
Krstic: 20 points (7-9) FG Vince: 6 points (2-5) FG
One thing you can always count on with the Warriors is that they'll give any player a career night (on the opposing team). JKidd and BDiddy are on their way for triple doubles.
PLEASE...NO MORE ONE ON ONE!! will ball movement kill you guys?! and stop shooting so many threes! another 4th quarter meltdown...
