Can i make this one? LOL Sorry! I'm just so nervous with this game coz' i've got some money on it... The line had LA +2  and i couldn't resist.

    Time: 9:00 AM ET

    Where: San Antonio, Texas

    Who:
    Lakers 11 - 4 (Road)
    Spurs 14 - 7 (Home)

    Matchup of the game:
Anyway... This game should be a bounce back game for Pau Gasol! He should man up against a formidable foe in Duncan.

    Bench:
Odom played well on his 1st game back from injury and the lakers bench need to redeem themselves against a tough San Antonio reserve squad.

If it weren't for Kobe against Houston, we would have lost again... But still, even Kobe had an ugly game.

We should start playing the correct way since San Antonio players won't 'choke' that easily as compared to a certain x-and 1 player :devilwink:

This game would serve as another measuring stick for the lakers because the spurs are playing well and are at full strength... Even if we aren't 100% (farmar and sasha) we SHOULD be able to grind out a W if we are as good as we think we are (better than Orlando who beat the spurs by a considerable margin).

    Go L.A.!!!

Definitely worried about this game. It's the 2nd game of a back to back, so that alone makes it pretty tough. The fact that it's the Spurs at their place, and the fact that they're playing some of the best basketball in the NBA right now isn't helpful either. Hopefully we've still got something left in the tank tonight. Who knows, maybe Bynum and Gasol both get it going tonight? That would help Kobe a great deal. Speaking of him..hopefully his shot is a little better tonight too. What was he, like 12/30 or something last night? I saw that he had an ugly shooting game but came through when we needed him.

Tony Parker is going to be a nightmare tonight for us. I hope Bynum's confidence was derailed last night from that lousy officiating. The Spurs and Duncan generally get the benefit of the whistle at home, so Bynum needs to play smart and not draw attention from the officials.

The Kobe vs. Bowen matchup is always entertaining. I wouldn't be surprised to see PJax experiment more with a big lineup tonight with Kobe running the point.

Not too worried to be honest. I worry more about games against Charlotte, Portland, Houston, etc...than I do against New Orleans, San Antonio, etc..

BTW, Brian makes better game threads :]

Haha, I actually think my threads suck, but thanks for the support.

Anyways, should be an interesting game today. The Lakers usually come out fired up against top teams like the Spurs, so I expect them to play some good basketball today. But as already alluded to, I'm not digging the fact that this is a back to back game and how we're not exactly in the best shape health wise. Against a team like the Spurs, you need all the help you can get. I just hope fatigue isn't a factor today, otherwise, I got my money on the Lakers. ;)

Whoever Oberto is guarding BETTER play like a friggin beast. There is no way that Oberto, no discredit to him, should be able to handle a much bigger Bynum OR Gasol.

Whenever Mason is put on Kobe, Kobe has to take him inside.

We also have to contain Duncan and Parker as much as we can. I think Kobe can guard Ginobili well, but Fish has a TON of trouble against fast guards like Parker, while Duncan is just a consistent big man.

Is there going to be defense in this game? Talk about high scoring...we should each break 60 at the half. I honestly don't know how well this pace plays for us either, seeing as how we're lacking on our bench right now.

Ugh... Kobe 4TO's... No D in this game...

WTF is Phil doing? He should put a body on Manu!!!

I say put in Ariza!!! Vlad isnt even doing anything! Phil should play Fish - Kobe - Ariza - Pau - Bynum! At least we all know Ariza can play some D and score at the same time.

So I know Kobe has been on fire this half...but how many times has he turned it over? At least three I think. That needs to get cut down, for sure. Some 2nd half defense wouldn't be a bad thing either.

Team is playing like shit. Guess the fatigue is catching up to them? No defense, stupid plays offensively, we're not gonna win this game at this pace. To be honest, I was skeptical coming into the game and I was kind of impressed at how well we looked in the first half. We better not start digging a hole to deep to climb out.

I'm hoping by the end of the 3rd we will somehow tie this up, or keep it at a one possession game.

Our defense has been bad, but San Antonio, one of the best defensive teams in the league has been equally bad (or our offense is unstoppable).

Keep it close and hopefully Kobe still has some legs left and takes over in the fourth. Like him or not, I miss Sasha. He could've provided us with an extra shooter on the court.
