Nets Notes
The Nets have won seven of their last eight meetings with the Bucks, and if they win tonight they can assure themselves of taking the
season series against Milwaukee for the third straight season.

The Nets are currently at 6-6 during the month of February… if they can win tonight vs. the Bucks (2/28) they will finish with their first
winning record for a month this season (excluding October, when the Nets only played one contest against the Bulls on opening night,
10/31)… the Nets last winning record for a month was last April, when they went 7-2 down the stretch during the month of April… the
Nets are also averaging a season high for points (96.3) and field goal percentage (.455) in a month during February (excluding
October’s one contest).

The Nets (6-3) have one of the best records in the Eastern Conference in games decided by three points or less, as they are tied with
Orlando (6-3), Detroit (4-2) and Cleveland (8-4) amongst Eastern conference teams for the best winning percentage in games decided
by three points or less.

With 10 double doubles on the season, Josh Boone is tied with LaMarcus Aldridge for the most double doubles by a second year
player in the NBA this season.

Sean Williams currently leads all rookies in field goal percentage at .539 (145-of-267).

The Nets are 7-1 this year when Vince Carter attempts at least 10 free-throws.

When the Nets score 100 or more points in a game this year they have gone 14-7.

With the addition of DeSagana Diop (1.20 bpg), along with Sean Williams (1.79 bpg) and Stromile Swift (0.95 bpg) the Nets are on the
verge of having three players who average at least 1.00 blocks per game since the 1994-95 season when the Nets had four players
who averaged at least 1.00 blocks per contest.

Since taking over as a starter vs. Sacramento on 12/18 Josh Boone has been impressive in the Nets frontcourt. The second year
forward/ center is averaging 10.2 points and 8.8 rebounds as a starter, compared to the 3.6 points and 3.9 rebounds that he had
averaged as a reserve. Boone has equaled or eclipsed his career high for rebounds coming into this season eight different times
during the 2007-08 campaign.

With Richard Jefferson averaging 23.4 points per game and Vince Carter averaging 20.8 points, the Nets have two 20 point per game
scorers (who are qualified for the league rankings) for the first time since the 1998-99 season.

Richard Jefferson is currently seventh in the NBA in scoring at 23.4 points per game.

Season Series

Game 1: Nets 97, Milwaukee Bucks 95 at Bradely Center, Milwaukee, WI on 12/29/07
Vince Carter came up big for the Nets down the stretch, as he scored eight of his team high 23 points in the final 3:55, as he helped
New Jersey escape Milwaukee with a 97-95 win over the Bucks… both teams played well in the first quarter, with the Nets staying
within 25-19 after one quarter despite the Bucks hitting 12-of-20 shots from the field… in the second quarter the Nets put the defensive
clamps on the Bucks, allowing them to hit a paltry .263 (5-of-19) of their shots, as went into the break tied at 43 apiece… both teams
struggled in the third quarter, with the Nets taking a 22-20 advantage into the final quarter… the Nets trailed 77-75 with 6:37 remaining,
but Michael Redd missed a pair of free-throws and Jason Kidd responded by hitting consecutive three-pointers to give the Nets an 81-
77 lead… the Bucks came back to take an 86-83 lead on a 20-footer by Yi Jianlian, but the Nets scored the next five points capitalized
by a Jason Kidd three-pointer from the right wing with 1:33 remaining to give the Nets an 88-86 lead… Yi tied the game again at 88 on
a jumper, but Carter made a reverse layup with just under a minute to play that coupled with a Malik Allen jumper that gave the Nets a
92-88 lead they would not relinquish the rest of the way… Jason Kidd had 17 points and 15 assists for the Nets, while Michael Redd led
all scorers, throwing in 35 points for the Bucks.

Game 2: Nets 87, Milwaukee Bucks 80 at IZOD Center, East Rutherford, NJ on 1/29/08
With the game slipping away down the stretch Jason Kidd came up big for the Nets, hitting a huge three-pointer that sealed an 87-80
win over the Milwaukee Bucks, ending a nine game losing streak… coming into the contest the Nets had lost a season high nine
straight games, and appeared to still have a bit of a hangover from their six game road trip, as they fell behind 22-20 after the first
quarter… the Nets continued to struggle offensively in the second quarter, but let their defense carry them, as they held the Bucks to 5-
of-21 from the field in the quarter, as the Nets closed the first half with a 17-8 run to take a 40-35 lead into the break… Richard
Jefferson scored 14 of his game high 20 points in the third quarter to help the Nets push their lead to 61-54 going into the final
quarter… in the fourth the Nets led by as many as twelve, but could not sustain their lead down the stretch, as the Bucks 13-2 run from
the five minute mark until Yi Jianlian hit a pair of free-throws to bring the Bucks to within 78-77 at the 2:06 mark… Kidd answered,
however, with a three-pointer at the other end, and then set up Richard Jefferson for a jumper that gave the Nets an 83-77 lead and the
win… Kidd finished with 9 points and a game high 11 assists, while Vince Carter chipped in with 16 points, a season high 12 rebounds
and 5 assists… Royal Ivey scored a career high 19 points for the Bucks, as Bobby Simmons and Mo Williams each had 14 for
Milwaukee.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Devin but I'm sure they said he might play just to sell tickets.

This is a good game for us to really utilize our depth in the frontocout.

I don't expect to see much of Harris but i'm hoping to see swift play a little bit. If he doesn't that'll be a huge disapoitment.
