guards affecting play

the timberwolves were set to be a big free agent team at least thats what kevin mchale said so its obvious that they shouldve gone out looking for guards now i know free agency just started but needing help in the guard position this is offseason is crucial so needing more defense they couldve got larry hughes good offensive player and great defense now that the cavs have him who are the good gaurds left please tell me and dont say sammy i know hes good but we need more d in the backourt im not denying thats sammys not great offensively but wheres the d? tell me who would be good fits w/ the wolves and that arent what you guys think but what are some rumors of people coming to minny

 

Miinesota cant afford any valuable players, simple as that.

 

I'll add to that:
There simply aren't really any good players that Minnesota can afford / Players that would want to go to Minnesota. There are plenty of teams in the same position but have more money and much more desirable situations. I cant see the team picking up any big names, and I will be surprised if they can pick up anyone that's just above-average. Our best options this off-season are probably going to be trades.

 

well i think thres one... kyle korver.... If philly re-signs dalembert well they dont have enough maney to match-up kyle.... above average player and not that expensive.... what do you think?????

korver is a great player for the wolves but i beleive is being watched by other teams with greater money power.

 

Every player is getting overpayed this offseason, and I don't think it will be any different with Korver. But because we are going to use the whole MLE on Griffin, we won't have enough for him. If he wants to play for us, he might take a paycut, than we might get him but I doubt it.

What I'm worried right now is the lack of player signings because we don't have that many players on the team right now and with Hoiberg's situation, it makes it even worse.
