Sir Alex Ferguson will try to lure Eidur Gudjohnsen from Barcelona to Manchester United for ?8m in the summer. (The Sun) This was on in a newspaper gossip column today, and is something i had never considered. I think he's be brilliant upfront with Rooney, the interplay would be akin to Larsson-Rooney. He'd be good for 10-15 goals and happy to share the role with Saha/Solsjaer. Plus we'd get him for about 10 m, leaving 15m for Hargreaves and 10m for another target- Bale, Nani or Muevba.
No way. Saha and Rooney is our best strike force. I reckon Darren Bent is most akin to Saha so we could maybe get him! As for Bale, why? We have Heinze and Evra. I personally find the way we're treating Heinze appalling. He's better than Evra IMO (Evra better going forward, but Heinze's better defensively) plus he tenacious and determined, which helps lift the team! Hargreaves obviously. I would also take Ribery or maybe Bentley? I don't want Nani, very unlikley that two Ronaldo would emerge from the same club with 2 years! I'd rather Diego or Quaresma.
yeah i agree with naruto about gudjohnsen and heinze as well. Heinze's first season with united was brilliant but now hes in the shadows after his injury. another attacking midfielder, like van der vaart would be useful and another striker. torres would be good, someone who could hold the ball upfront while giggs, scholes, and the wingbacks move foward.
