Former two division world champion lightweight Robert Guerrero (29-1-1, 18 KO’s) will be back in the ring on August 27th in a likely fight at the Shark Tank in San Jose, California against a possible opponent WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana (30-2, 27 KO’s). The fight is close to being made but Maidana, the mandatory challenger for WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan, is waiting to see if the World Boxing Association will opt to either strip Khan for not fighting Maidana or else forcing Khan to take the Maidana rematch or have his belt taken away.
