You missed out Mueller himself, because according to Sean Hannity "pressure is building" on him because of that whole FBI colluding with Russia thing.

I actually started to put Mueller but gave his slot to Hillary. Because she's a criminal mastermind, a James Bond villain.

I'm starting to think Roger Stone isn't the Machiavellian mastermind he's occasionally portrayed as.

Genuine question: has anyone watched Get Me Roger Stone on Netflix? I haven't gotten round to it, because I need my viewing to be more escapist these days.

How is it that HE gets to exist in that parallel dimension? Why can't it be people who would actually appreciate a Clinton administration?

Warner has said he’d readily accept it if the Senate investigation finds no evidence of collusion.

f there’s not something there, I’ll be the first to acknowledge that,” the Virginia Democrat told The New York Times this week.

The painful choice for Democrats is whether to attempt to forge a fragile compromise with Republicans that depictswhat both parties generally agree on: that Russia orchestrated a massive interference campaign to undermine U.S. politics and stoke intense division. That would likely mean abandoning a definitive determination on collusion — or punting to special counsel Robert Mueller, who’s leading a criminal probe of possible crimes connected to the Russian plot.

    Parallel Dimension:

Schiff and fellow California Rep. Eric Swalwell, two of the most outspoken House Intelligence Committee Democrats, say they too hope for unity but emphasized that despite the absence of a smoking gun, they’ve seen compelling evidence of Trump allies’ “intent to collude.”

“We may not find the crime on videotape, but I believe we have already seen evidence of intent,” Swalwell said. “But our investigation is ongoing and we haven’t reached a conclusion.”

You can prove a negative, but it's a rare logic situation where you can.

"There are no unicorns." Prove it. You can't. Someone might produce an actual unicorn tomorrow.

"Trump didn't collude with Russia." Prove it. You can't (absolutely).

However, you can prove a positive.

"There are unicorns." Prove it - here's one, examine it for yourself.

"Trump colluded with Russia." Prove it - here's the smoking gun.

You can go on trying to prove the negative for years without success.

With all the subpoena power and hundreds of witnesses and untold number of documents, nothing.

All this nonsense for months and you get a charge against Manafort for business deals from 15 years ago.

    Just.... LOL

Mr. Manafort is under investigation for possible violations of tax laws, money-laundering prohibitions and requirements to disclose foreign lobbying.

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...-firtash-0802-chicago-inc-20160801-story.html

Manafort and business partners, including Firtash, in 2008 negotiated an $895 million deal to buy the site of the Drake Hotel in Manhattan, which they hoped to redevelop as a luxury mall and spa called Bulgari Tower. Memos of meetings that Manafort and Firtash attended in Kiev are included in the lawsuit, though the deal eventually fell apart.

While Firtash had yet to be indicted at that point, a diplomatic cable sent by U.S. ambassador to Ukraine William B. Taylor during the period in which Manafort and Firtash were negotiating, later leaked by Wikileaks, alleged Firtash had ties to Russian organized crime and described him as "one of Ukraine's most wealthy and notorious oligarchs."

    Related question.

When the government goes after a citizen like Mueller is doing, the financial cost to the citizen can be staggering. Lawyer bills, investigators, and so on. At some point you have to look at the fairness issue - unlimited government funds against the limited amounts even a $billionaire can afford.

After an extended period, it starts looking like prosecutorial abuse rather than prosecution. Can’t get the guy on actual charges, but really want to get him badly - so make him spend his fortune on defense.
