with people and news articles saying that the bulls will get former 90's bulls star kukoc and guglliota and i dont care how you spell the name, i dont know if this would help our team they would just be old beat up former all-stars this for bulls fans would not be as pleasing as an acquirring of a finley or antoine walker which probably wont happen but still better then the two oldies RIGHT!? First it?s Toni Kukoc and Gugliotta lol. Any who, what do you want them to do? This is a playoff roster, and a team that has many young players coming up on contract years soon in which they will probably demand high salaries. They are not looking to acquire a big contract or make a commitment over two years to a veteran who wants a big pay day. Antoine Walker is a good player, but why would we need him? We are about to give Tyson Chandler a contract in the high 55 million to 60 million dollar range to come back. Would we give him that to backup Walker? Would we put Walker at small forward? That would not work, because we got Luol Deng and Andres Nocioni as well as Eddie Basden in that rotation.

I for one would not be opposed to getting Michael Finley should it be an acquisition through free agency, but if it were a trade it would be a bad move to a certain extent. His contract still demands 57 million dollars over the next three seasons I believe. We need that money for Hinrich, Gordon, and Deng. I like what the Bulls have done this off-season they know this is a playoff roster so they approached this off-season with the view that they would make minor tweaks, and see how far the team gets. What do you want form the team it was on the verge of appearing in the second round last season it probably would have gone far had it not been for the Curry injury. They do not need to get a ?big name? like a Walker or a Finley necessarily.

The people they are planning on bringing in will ultimately make solid contributions, and likely will not demand many minutes which will allow us to continue to develop our young talent without having to push them into a back seat role. This strategy has worked for us in the past we got Corie Blount a view off-seasons ago he really was a great mentor to Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry for a while. Then we brought in Antonio Davis who is a respected figure in the player association, and another guy who they have had showing Chandler how to play tough inside. Not to mention other veteran mentors such as players like Pippen, Adrian Griffen, Othella Harrington, and others. This team is pretty much set for the future we do not need a big name veteran to come in here to be better. It will improve on it?s own in time. It?s a scary thought to think with this current roster all our main players are under the age of twenty five, and we are a team who is capable of getting to the semi rounds in the playoffs.
