This kid is talented. I was watching him the other day in a summer league gave vs. the Suns, and he was really quick. On a few plays he just blew by the defenders easily and went to the hoop. Not all of the time he finished, but his quickness was just unbelievable to me. he also has a jumpshot. What do you guys think of his upside? Will he make the Clippers squad or not?
He's a decent player, I'm pretty sure he's making the Clippers roster. Right now though a lot of his offense is catch and shoot(when he's on, he can't miss) and moves off his athleticism, which isn't a bad thing. But I think he needs to improve finishing and finding other ways to score. His defense isn't bad, but his height will hurt him. Overall, he should be a lock, along with Paul Davis, I'm pretty sure they already signed. I'll look it up later but I remember Clips signing their picks on the scroll on NBAtv.
I think he's going to make the team. I watched a couple of his games when he played for the Hurricanes and I was always in awe. He's an amazing player. Fast with point guard skills and shooting guard abilities. Doesn't really get much better than that. :flex: He just needs to work on finishing his plays but other than that, I'm sure he'll be fine. And as far as his height goes, he'll be ok, he has mad hops!!
Clips just signed Aaron Williams, went on their boards to see the talk. A lot them saying this wraps up their roster, and I noticed quite a bit have Diaz off their 15 man roster. Pretty surprizing to me, I wonder if he will catch on another team if that's the case. I could see Miami.
I don't know why but I check out the LA Clippers roster posted on their NBA site and it says Guillermo Diaz is an unsigned draft pick. Hopefully, he signs with the Clippers soon.... LA Clippers Roster
Once he steps on 2 the floor playing against the experienced guys, we'll c how good he is. I mean this is a good sign, and I hope he plays the best he can since I like the Clippers.
He'll make the Clipper's roster for many reason. He's one of the most athletic players in the league and with his athleticism the road is never ending and his other attributes can improve later on in his career. If you're athletic(Darius Miles), you don't have to be the greatest shooter or scorer, that can be taught and with Guillermo's athleticism and lightning speed some team will give him a chance in the NBA and in a couple years when you look back at this draft, many will say he was the steal of the draft for the Clippers.
I think he should be playing the NBA. I think a team in the NBA will pick him up. He might be going down to the D Leagues for a while though.
