Two-time Olympic gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux won a split decision over Ricardo Cordoba on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito fight, winning cautiously and not doing anything to endear himself to American boxing fans. Rigondeaux was considered one of the world's all-time great amateur boxers in Cuba before he defected to the United States, and American boxing fans are excited about his potential to do big things in this country. But against Cordoba Rigondeaux appeared satisfied to win a fairly dull decision, rather than fight the kind of fight that would make him a fan favorite.
