Guti Calls For Media Respect

Following press reports that he had been stalked by a deaf boxer Real Madrid midfielder Guti has called today for the media to start showing more respect for his private life....

Real Madrid midfielder Guti has never been far away from the spotlight during his time in the Spanish capital, be it for his alleged relationship with a transsexual, his prima donna appearance, his deaf stalker, or occasionally his footballing skills.

However, after the recent press reports about a deaf boxer who was alleged to have been stalking him the Spanish international has asked for more respect to be shown towards his private life.

"I ask that they stop speaking about the harassment of the boxer," he said, " And that they show maximum respect towards my private life and focus only only the sporting news."

The midfielder has made 343 appearances for the La Liga champions and he appealed today to 'the common sense and sensibility of the mass media to cease the information and references to the conflict with the boxer.'

The deaf boxer alleged in the incident is named Jorge Muñoz and it is believed that he actually followed Guti to Madrid's training ground where he had a bust up with the security guards as he tried to pass. However, the midfielder has said today that for the good of him and his family he just wants it to end.

"The continuous references cause damage to the normal development of the life of myself and my family. I will be undertaking legal action to protect us," he concluded.
