<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Since he first donned the hairstyle that resembled Goodyear?s Triple Tred tire in early 2005, Rip Hamilton?s braids have garnered quite a bit of attention. Since then, Hamilton has stayed at the top of his game both on the court and in the salon. Throughout the 2005-06 season, fans could be sure to see a different Hamilton hairdo in each and every one of the Pistons 41 home games. With the help of team photographer Allen Einstein, Pistons.com has captured most of Rip?s hair trends from Pistons home games during the 2005-06 regular season. So, who comes up with so many different styles? For that job Rip turns to Kali G., owner of Kali?s Salounge in Novi. Kali, whose salon and lounge first opened in October of 2005, has managed to create several new styles while continuously reinventing old ones for the Pistons guard. Since first meeting Rip while working at a Detroit radio station, Kali tried her best to get Hamilton into her chair. She finally convinced him in early 2004 and has been going to work on Hamilton?s braids for 30-90 minutes before each Pistons home game since. She comes up with all the styles on her own and does the braiding herself. She?s even the one responsible for duplicating the infamous tire tred when Rip brought in the photo.</div>
Damn. Thats alot of hours for someone to do that. Doesnt that hurt? Or does your scalp get use to it?
Man is going bald. He needs to get that cut short, he's starting to look like Jerry Rice did before he decided to give into the baldness. He also should loose the freaking mask.
I'd like to see him undo it for 1 game. Maybe if they make the finals for game 1. Him and Ben should rock the fro, would be classic
Yeah the mask makes him look ugly as hell. I really question why someone would want to put a plastic mask over their face.

Rip cant ever play without the mask again. his nose has been broken so many times that there is nothing almost nothing left in his nose and if it breaks a gain he needs surgery that takes like 6-8 months to recover enough to play basketball. So he needs to keep the "freaking mask"

Ok so I did some research on it. He doesn't have to play with the mask. He actually considered not wearing it this season. So I guess you were wrong, sorry. But I am more understanding of why he wears it now.

I think it's BS, b/c many times it's been said on television that he has to wear that mask.CB4, I know he does have a hair stylist, but I can't think of her name. I read over it on pistons.com
i think hamilton wins the "clocked in the nose the most" award. who has broken his nose more in the NBA? lol

Just to add, a recent game on ABC had a piece about this, and he clearly said he doesn't wear it because he has to, he wears it because he wore it during the championship year and feels it's special and his superhero cliche.

So...go at it.</div> Yup, so GrandMasterA is really the stupid one now.
obviously alot of you guys didnt watch the game on monday night...half way through the third he decided to go without it. He played the remainder of the game that way, and it seemed to help his shooting...as for the hair, he needs to get rid of that damned goatee first...he looks like a billy goat with that thing on his chin
