Hakeem: "I'd love to work with Yao" Had a article in today's paper on Hakeem. He's running a mini-camp in which players can come in and learn some things. Okafur, Eli, Luo Deng etc.... are all gonna be in it. He said that maybe next season, when Yao has some time, he wants to work with him. Says Yao has the ability to be even better, but doesn't dominate like he should. I personally think from the Rockets prespective, this is a no brainer. If this were Rudy coaching, there'd be no question Hakeem would be working side by side with Yao. BUT however this is JVG and we all know how stubborn he is. Hakeem can make Yao from a good player, to GREAT player with Hall of Fame credentials.
Well getting training from Hakeem won't guarantee hall of fame status, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea to me, and I'm sure it could only help.
Ewing and Hakeem. Both great centers working and helping Yao get better is a great honor for Yao. Hopefully..He will be as good as them in future!

They're obviously very different players, but there are definitely some undeniable similarities that shine through every now and then. Very good video, Sniper. Dream would only help Yao like stated above, and Houston already has Ewing helping him out. Ya never know what can happen.

I still think the rockets should have gone for kareem when he was available he's the moot simmilar player in terms of yao's style, also imagine yao with a skyhook. Ewing plays different hakeem's way different sorry hakeem played like a guard at times yao is way far from that.
