I've been playing Halo 2 since its release day, and I play it just as much now as I used to back when I first got it. One of the huge appeals of Halo 2 for me was something my brother, our friends, and I would call "Up-Downs." Our family has two TVs with Xboxes hooked up to them, one upstairs, one downstairs. For up-downs, we would take any combination of the 4 of us and put two of them upstairs and two of them downstairs, and we would play 2v2 games of our choosing. If the games we wanted to play needed more people, we just hooked up a few more controllers. Its been fun ever since day one. However, I really just wanted to share our favorite game types with you guys, hoping to get some of the same. Renegade Rouge: This is a 5 person, 3 team game. There are two teams made of two, and a last team made of 1. Extremely fun, because the Rogue pretty much knows he's going to lose, so he goes all out and tries some crazy shit. Its pretty fun. Zombies: You may or may not have played it, but we believe we were one of the first people to make it, way back near the official release of foundation. You basically take all the players you want (The more the better) and place them all on one team. Then you take one of the players and put him on the opposite team. For theme, make the huge team pink or red and the single player green. Everyone has the shotgun and sword for weapons (no map weapons), but only the green team is allowed to use the swords, while only the red/pink team is allowed to use the shotguns. Turn off all shields and friendly fire and add extra damage if you wish. Then the green team goes around, trying to kill the red team with their swords. When someone on the red team is killed, they switch to the green team. The objective is to be the last red person alive. That person becomes the starting zombie for the next round. Frag Fest: Pretty obvious. Make sure you turn on bonus points for extra sticky fun! (Best on Midship or Lockout. 16 people playing this game, especially in a free for all, on small maps is absolutely insane!) Share some of your favorite Halo 2 memories/ custom game types.
