Joey Graham is the second Raptors training camp casualty. The fourth-year forward suffered a slightly strained right hamstring during the team's first pre-season scrimmage in Ottawa and sat out both practices yesterday. He had another examination yesterday and is listed as day-to-day. The Star
Didn't Joey have an injury like this to start last season too? I'm sure it's not serious but it's not the way you want out your contract year with guys like Adams ready to swallow up any surplus minutes. Plus we need bodies for these practices. Hopefully BC's streamlined roster doesn't come back to bite him. (hi everybody!)
Hey sky! Welcome to SportsTwo. We have a decent Raptors community already, so you should fit right in.
The expectations for Joey couldn't be lower. All he has to do this season is be consistent--whether that is in a minimal role or a role like Delfino played last year. If he's able to do that he'll have longevity in the NBA. If not he'll be a summer league player looking for a spot every year.
