I don't post much anymore, but I still read a bit. I find it's also useful to browse reddit.com/r/nba. However, it's annoying to pick through the whole forum for the opinions about the Blazers. So I bookmarked this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/search?q=portland OR blazers&restrict_sr=on&sort=relevance&t=day Just filters out the general NBA discussion to just Blazers topics. It's really a different atmosphere, because you get general NBA fans opining on the team instead of the rabid fans we have here.
The fans on reddit tend to be much more supportive of other teams/players that are not their own, but they will also turn on someone collectively. The Reddit hive mind is strong. It's a different environment than the old ESPN forum days where there was constant trash talk between fanbases.
I deleted my Reddit account from my phone. The ability to talk with other fans is nice but the amount of collective bagering and sensationalism that pass for news is ridiculous. My best friend rightfully calls it, "the asshole of the Internet." Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
