Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez was a late insertion into the starting lineup by manager Don Mattingly before Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals after working through his pregame routine without any setbacks. Ramirez missed the four previous games with a right shoulder injury. Before the game, Mattingly expressed optimism Ramirez would, at the very least, be available for pinch-hitting duties and didn't rule him out from starting.
