I'm surprised Trump hasn't tweeted mocking this in some manner.

Me too. I thought for sure he would be tweeting something like, "In recognition of Indigenious Day, would immigrants refrain from crossing the border. Be respectful."

    Or maybe...

"Wow what a great holiday. Indigenius day. Celebrating the people who already live and belong in this great nation."

    Or

"Happy Indigenious day. Americans are indigenious here, not Mexicans who by the way are all murderers and rapists."

    "I am a stable indigenious."

I'm expecting it to be something like "I made it so we can say Happy Columbus Day again!"

As a survivor of the Columbus day storm, I will forget neither Columbus nor Columbus Day.
Trees or telephone poles were down every block that I saw and since I was about half a mile from home when I ducked into an apartment building to avoid getting killed, I saw an awful lot of downed trees, power and telephone poles and live high voltage lines lying on the ground. All you could hear all over the city the next day was the sound of chain saws. Our house was unscathed, protected by a nearby brick multistory apartment building in the path of the wind. We also had a four foot retaining wall in the path of the wind. We got our power restored within an hour or so because we were less than a quarter mile from two hospitals, St. Vincent and Good Samaritan, as well as several medical clinics.
