Happy New Year to all. We deserve it! [ I am blowing my grandkids' horns......and loving it]

No matter how bumpy the road gets, stay positive and live a less stressful existence. You'll
be better for it. Health first. Then bring on the prosperity.

2016 personally was a train wreck, too many souls passed, not even mentioning the shit list of great musicians, performers of all types, et al.

No way can this year be worse, than that left behind. Looking very forward to moving forward once again. 2016 was like moon-walking thru a full year... Don't like no disco, so- may this year be a helluva Tango-....foxtrot charlie...

    Blow your horns East Coast....!!!

Celebs will die, not really that personally affected other than to be reminded by my own mortality.

Now the sudden passing of Antonin Scalia, that did personally affect me and the infringements of the 2A in California ( cases put off due to SC uncertainty).

^^^ definitely, I didn't really clarify, my own personal losses (family members and/or, friends like family- deaths of 016); were more what I mean't tho' any loss of a role model, or important public figure, esp those who directly effect us, like you mentioned Scalia, now that hurts here in SC.

Sad too, in this public cesspool, where our 2nd Amendment is clearly challenged.... the polar opposite of Georgia's principles, in town's which ensure every citizen is armed, and hopefully carrying....

...lol...yes, because if Scalia votes one way his vote arbitrarily dictates how the others vote.

Well if every 2A case has been 5-4 in the last 25+ years with Scalia essentially the 5th and deciding vote, then yes.

Moreover he wrote both the majority opinions for Heller and McDonald ( Excluding Thomas who wrote his own even more stringent opinions).

CA attorneys for GOA and NRA have several appeals ready for petition to the SC that are in fact on hold because the court as it stands would end up 4-4 tie and the appeal would be stayed.

At issue for us are the ability to get CCW's, a draconian hand gun roster slowly eliminating semi automatic pistols from new purchase. Also working their way to the 9th will be a lead bullet ban for hunting, legal semi auto rifles retroactively being renamed as assault weapons and forced registration for bulk ammo purchases.

    CA is a fucking mess.

...lol..."if" ...well, every 2A case has not been "5-4"....and Heller & McDonald didn't really change anything one way or another.

...the 2A sky is not falling and our weapons have not and will not be taken away.

...CA is liberal, everyone knows that so if it's regulations become too much too bear, well, there are 49 other options.

I left the blue bayou because it was polluted, and the yellow brick road, cuz they paved I-70, and no one came any more, that and Elton John had it taken apart brick by brick, and installed it in his backyard 1,K acre English Countryside Honky Chateau....

Ok, 59, Tote and I are doing a RV Convoy to Middle Ga. getting a new Gun when we open our bank accounts, then park our RV's on your Acreage, eh? Or should I send Tote to Andersonville, for RV hookups...? I promise I will pick up all your Pecans, and bake ya' and the Missus Prudhomme's Sweet Tater Pee-Can Pie for ya'll, and be on my way, I just need a viable excuse to dump Tote in the Okefenokee Swamp,.....! shooosh say nada.... he will never know other wise...

Well there aren't 49 other options because NY, MA, NJ and CT are just as bad or will be in short order. Unfortunately when it comes to work, I've named the most common places to live as well. I look at our 2A issues in CA as a shining example of what snowflake voters will get you. Other states are not immune. Some real damage to the antigun cause can be done but an assured 5th vote is needed. Don't take my word for it, attorneys like Alan Gura and Ted Cruz ( that Ted Cruz) have written extensively on the subject.

As for Heller and McDonald not changing anything, well now you're just looking for a fight. Without either, significantly more infringement would be ongoing and likely serious harm or death to some people, especially in DC or Chicago. There are news stories of how these cases saves lives.

...lol...no, I'm not just looking for a fight...my statement stands and is actually backed up with facts...sorry, but again, Heller and McDonald didn't really do much at all.
...there are also "news stories" that agree...I'll gladly supply the links if you don't want to look yourself....you can post links that say one thing, I'll post links that say the opposite...that'll settle things...lol.

...and again, sorry, but it's not my fault you live in Cali...there have always been and always will be liberal/conservative states.
