different situations call for different solutions, but the only time I ever really drank hard ciders were a Mike's Lemonade here and there when camping with the extended family. I wasn't going to bring out the good booze, light beers aren't generally my thing and it's a bit weird to bust out a nice Malbec around a campfire.

I'd say 50% of my drinking is liquor, 35% wine, 13% beer and the occasional hard lemonade or sangria.

Have you had a "Not your father's rootbeer" yet?

Prefer beer or wine. I very occasionally will have a hard cider. Most of the time I don't like them.

Where have you been able to buy hard rootbeer? I've been looking for it casually but havent seen it anywhere.

Cider is ok. My wife loves it. Id prefer reddswhich is more like a apple beer, or shock top apple instead of actual hard cider.

Coors light, miller lite, bud light, Kirkland light are mostly my beverage choices. During the summer, a shock top lemon shandy really hits the spot.

I can drink Heineken or tsingtao if I feel like skunky beer.

Wine is good too, especially with dinner.

I can't drink the hard stuff anymore unless it's a bloody Mary

Not sure where you can find it. There is a deli up here in Seattle that has it and it is unbelievable.

This is the brewery that makes it.
http://smalltownbrewery.com/ if you punch your zip code here, you can find their products.

Angry Orchard and Redd's Apple Ale is good ciders. Crispin hard cider is a little more sweet. Hard ciders are really getting popular. I'm not a huge drinker. Occasionally I'll have a beer or 2. I also like a red or white wine with dinner.

I went to four different stores trying to find the hard root beer. No luck.

So then I went to a place in downtown Gresham called cheap Charlie's that has a huge selection of beers and wine.

Got the last six pack they had. This stuff is amazing. Tastes just like root beer. Sooooo good. looking forward to finding it on tap somewhere and trying it

They serve adult root beer floats at the place I go to. I still have to try that. It is amazing how much it takes like root beer and the alcohol content is pretty high.

I've got some vanilla ice cream in the fridge. My wife and I were just talking about making root beer floats too. Probably will tomorrow.

I read online that a lot of other breweries are trying to make hard root beer too. I hope they do so it's much more available. This stuff is better than any ciders or lemonades

I wish I knew what in beer, I didn't like, so I could find one with less of that in it. I hate ordering hard alcohol wherever I go when my friends are having a beer. I have tried so many, and they all taste the sameish to me. So I don't know if it is the hops, or the malt, yeast or whatever. I have tried most all kinds of beer, with no luck

Nothing wrong with having a cocktail while others drink beer. Nothing wrong with the guy drinking beer when everyone else is having a martini. You do you. Especially if you have to pay $6 for something you don't get enjoyment from. Eff that.
