read it, and i think that alston should get more credit than he deserved.. i'm sure his shots weren't intentionally bad and were probably shots he should of taken. open, meditated ones, not forced. he'll get his stroke later on. but he needs to find it soon.
Our main concern right now is the point guard position, or, more specifically, Alston. He's a passing point guard, he does a good job of giving it to Yao, but his shooting is horrible, and even more than good passes, Yao needs good shooters. Frankly, if he doesn't improve his shooting (and there's a good chance he won't), then I don't think he should start. The only problem with that, though, is that we don't have a really good starting point guard. As I said before, Lucas isn't starting material (at least not yet). Spanoulis might, but I see him as more of a Sura-type player: Can play PG, but will look to shoot more than pass. Therefore, I'm pinning my hopes on Sura. Yah, he's not a true point guard, but his intangibles outweigh that fact. IF he can produce as he did two years ago, then I think he can start. However, that's a big if.This, by the way, as the article says, is why we went so hard after James.
Sure was the man a few years ago but his body was been wearing down. I think he can come back and have another decent year.
Rafer is fine at point. He gives Yao good looks and allows T-Mac to be pure scorer like Kobe rather than playmaker and scorer.
