Yeah, he deserved an Emmy for that performance.

Are they going to rescind the technical foul Matthews got for saying Harden flopped?

Someone should have hit Hard-on in the dick that game like the German kid did Cousins.

Good point. Why should he pay a fine for trying to argue that Harden Flopped? Or maybe they should force Harden to pay Matthews for it?

My guess is the Tech will stick for his behavior toward the ref that the ref determined warranted the Tech.

I think the penalty for faking out the ref like that should be worse, though. Is there a fine involved for the flagrant flop? More than the equivalent of a cup of coffee to you or me?

All flops should be a 1 game suspension. Its blatant cheating and its hard to catch cheaters so in the rare cases one is caught there needs to be a punishment.

Matthews shouldn't have got in the ref's face about it.

He should have stood to the side, clapped his hands and shouted "Bravo!" at Harden.

Yes. Some good sarcasm might get the league's attention. Maybe have someone from the sidelines bring Harden a dozen roses like a diva curtain call.

I wonder if Kevin Martin will get a warning too. The acting he had in the Golden State game was epic!

You guys advocating player suspensions and fines have it backwards. ANY good official worth his salt should know the CARDINAL RULE when officiating the "Airborne Shooter".

    STAY WITH THE SHOOTER!!

The whole reason the ref was sold on Harden's flop is because he looked at the ball going up (spectating) and gave away what's called an "Open Look".

Had he stayed with the shooter from jump to land he would CLEARLY no Wes didn't touch harden. In short, he guessed on the play (another cardinal rule is NEVER GUESS). He (if it were me) would then either say nothing and give Harden a look like "really???" Or say "get up. You're not getting that call from me today".

Harden SELF CORRECTS when this happens consistently.

So the onus is on the officials not the players because players MUST ALWAYS adjust to the way the game is officiated.

Refs need to be held accountable.

Now if Wes after the game said something like "I don't think the ref made a good call on that play"

    BAM $10K fine.... :MARIS61:

Edit: In closing, NBA Refs suck and are lazy. i.e. Leon Wood, Steve Javie, and Joey Crawford.

I think someone sitting courtside should hand Harden one of these whenever he flops:
