As much as other teams hated Harpring, all fans have to give it up for him. The guy played hard, and was one of the few guys that did anything to win. Sloan and Harpring were a match made in heaven, that made for a good coach/player relationship. Sounded like he really wanted to comeback, but its sad that his body just has given out on him.

He is a Jerry Sloan player, played hard, and if you were on the other team, you friggin hated the guy.

I only hated him for the 48mins that he played my Lakers 4 times a year not counting playoffs, other than that, I love gritty players. So I HOPE this doesn't end his career, but wish him the best either way he goes.

You never like hearing about a player's career ending before they wanted it to, and this is no different. Harp was a very good player and the perfect guy for a Jerry Sloan team. He played hard for every second he was on the court and did whatever it took to win. Hopefully he's able to end his career on his terms, but I wouldn't put money on it.
