Matt Harpring sat out for the first of what he hopes will be just a handful of games on Saturday. But he fears it could be more. The Jazz forward, bothered by an irritation below his right kneecap that has grown too painful to play on, will meet with Kevin O'Connor and the team's medical staff today, and will hear the opinions of other doctors on Monday. Then he will decide how to treat his sore knee: rest, arthroscopic surgery or a more serious procedure. At the minimum, Harpring and Jazz trainer Gary Briggs agreed, he will miss at least a week. http://www2.sltrib.com/jazz/Main/Story.asp...2004&NUM=126109 Hopefully he can sit out a week or two and come back and carry on where he left off. If he needs surgery, the already diminishing chance of Utah making the playoffs just got a whole lot smaller. This should be a good test for Sasha, he's proven he can score given minutes, but is likely to pick up fouls quickly. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Matt Harpring hasn't played in a week, but his sore right knee feels like he has. So much for the healing power of rest. "It's no better," Harpring said Friday, and that is probably as good an indicator of his intentions as any. After hearing the advice of five doctors, Harpring is "going to sleep on it," he said, then decide whether to undergo surgery to repair the damaged cartilage under his right kneecap. http://www2.sltrib.com/jazz/Main/Story.asp...2004&NUM=127782
