Harrison: Off-court Issues In The Past

Newly signed Minnesota center David Harrison says that the off-court problems that plagued him in Indiana are a thing of the past.

"My agent has reiterated it many times, and I did, too," Harrison said. "But at the end of the day, it's my actions that will kind of dictate my future. It's a great situation to be in because I have a lot of confidence in my ability to follow the rules and be a player in the NBA."

Many believe that Harrison's off-court issues led the Pacers to allow him to walk in free agency.

His baggage in Indiana included a five-game suspension last season for violating the NBA's drug policy. In addition, he was involved in the infamous brawl at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

"I think that (brawl) was played on almost every continent at one point," he said. "I remember watching TV right after it happened, and it was on every station in Indiana at one point. That was a terrible situation, and thank God it's past us."

Good to hear he wants to move on and try and make his way back into the NBA. The guy still has potential.

He has great potential to be a scoring and defensive big in this league. In limited minutes he has shown he can score and block a shot.
