Couple that with his unfortunate production in Equus, and I wonder how many christian girls are really struggling with their heart throb.

Myself, I'm just glad the kid finally took some acting lessons. (Or is it that they've used CGI to give him talent?)

When I was a teenager, I was an athesist as well. However, that changed dramatically when I was about 17.

Atheism is awesome and everything, but Richard Dawkins is a douche.

When I was a teenager, I was a devout Christian. Then I "fell strongly about my faith" (coincidentally around the same time I started getting laid regularly) and haven't gone back to church since.

I also went from non-drinker to pothead partier, Republican to Democrat, pro-life to pro-choice, and ideological certitude to a more make-it-up-as-you-go kind of thinking.

I'm a worse person, but happier for it.

I hope hell has a nice buffet.

He's kind of an arrogant but really smart and funny atheist. Here's a talk he gave about "militant atheism."

    http://www.ted.com/talks/richard_dawkins_on_militant_atheism.html

I'm always a little surprised how little that Christians know about the major thinkers in atheism. I mean, I may not agree with Christianity, but I know who the Pope, Jerry Falwell and Rick Warren are. I've read the entire New Testament. It's not really that hard to learn about the people you disagree with.

Hmmm... I don't concern myself with people I don't agree with. It's their free choice to do so. I think I haven't heard of him as I try not to stay in touch with most of the current things in life. I like old classic movies, old jazz music, I still prefer to use briquettes when I grill... I guess I'm just out of touch on a lot of this stuff.

Yeah, sorry. I think I came off as more condescending toward you than I meant.

I wasn't even really addressing you, I guess. I've just met a lot of Christians who spent a lot of time trying to convincing me to find Jesus, but they don't demonstrate any real knowledge of the alternatives. If you want to sell a Honda, you should at least know what a Toyota is.

No, you just need to find a buyer who doesn't know what a Toyota is.
