"Mike Hart is still easy to miss in the Indianapolis Colts' crowded backfield. At 5-9, he's short. As a backup to Joseph Addai and Donald Brown, Hart doesn't get many touches. And as a sixth-round pick in 2008 who was released, then re-signed to the practice squad to start the 2009 season, his injury-ravaged Colts career hasn't gone as planned. Yet there he was, on the field in the second quarter of Super Bowl XLIV, getting two carries in the final minute of a key sequence. On first-and-10 from the 1, Hart bulled his way for 4 yards. On third-and-1 from the 10, he was stuffed for no gain. New Orleans called a timeout and got the ball back with enough time to kick a field goal and close a halftime deficit to 10-6. Many wonder if the Saints would have tried a daring onside kick to open the second half without that field goal. What if Hart had gained that 1 yard for a first down and the Colts had run out the clock? Hart, looking back on his only two carries in the Colts' 31-17 loss, tries to see the positive. He fought back from a season-ending knee injury in 2008 and an ankle injury to start 2009. "I got to play in the Super Bowl," he said during recent organized team activities. "After the year I had, the couple years, to come back and get a couple plays in the Super Bowl, it was a great feeling." http://www.indystar.com/article/201.../1058/SPORTS03/Hart-ready-when-Colts-need-him
