I really started to wonder this after watching the 4th qtr lat night. During Nate's interview with Cheryl Miller between the 3rd and 4th qtr he said the guys have to stop taking jump shots and put up a wall on defense. I can only remember two shots that were inside the paint. An Ally Oop and a missed lay in by Brandon. The Blazers started the 4th off by launching a ton of jumpers and not stopping anyone driving down the lane. It appeared to me the guys just wanted to do what they wanted to do.
The disconnect between Nate tells the media he wants the team to do and what the team actually does has always been pretty extreme. I don't know if it is because Nate can't get the team to play the way he wants them to or if he is lying to the media and wants the team to play they actually are. I also don't know which of these possiblities is worse.
4-2 with an OT loss last night, and it's time to trade Roy, Nate has lost the team, and Nate still can't coach. It's going to be a loooonnnnnggg season on this board.
