I wonder. That would be an interesting thing to listen to, how exactly those discussions go. We always hear about the "talks", but we never actually have been privvy to hear one. I think it would be interesting if a newspaper somehow got access to a trade discussion...even if they kept it relatively anonymous.

I'd want to know what goes on during trade discussions, not just as a curious fan, but also from a business perspective (Business student in college so I have to sound like I care). On that note, I REALLY want to know the transcript between my Lakers and those Grizz :]
Excellent question and with all the lopsided trades if there isn't one there should be one. They should not be available to fans but the league should review these.
I would have loved to listen in on the Suns/Rockets trade for Charles Barkley and the Lakers/Heat trade for Shaq.
Nets/Suns Marbury for Kidd trade, and then the Knicks/Suns McDyess (exp contract) for Marbury. Those would be some awesome ones. Oh, yeah. And the Kwame Brown for Caron Butler trade. WTF?
"Isiah, you should really check yourself into rehab. I mean we have to stop talking every two minutes because you're throwing up or your nose is bleeding. Let's get this deal done first though."
The closest thing I've ever seen are those post-draft specials that the Raptors produce where they show people what happened in the war-room during the draft. A couple years ago they showed Colangelo talking to a bunch of GM's about trading for their late lottery picks so that he could draft Marcus Williams. And he was also talking to Milwaukee about what would later be the TJ Ford-Charlie Villanueva trade.
