Iv'e seen a lot of hating about how this deal is not going to get done or how its not fair that that Lakers get KG or that Kobe still won't be happy... as a pure basketball fan wouldn't you wanna see two all star players like Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant play on the same team, regardless of the team they play for??? It would make for some amazing highlights guaranteed ESPN top ten... I would be excited to see KG play alongside the likes of LeBron or Dwayne... why is everyone hating on a possible combination with Kobe Bryant??? I hope this deal goes through so the haters can hate it even more and keep whining that its not fair.[IMG]

So obviously the Lakers are ready to pull the trigger, the hold up is with the Celtics right?

Celtics won't give up Jefferson if they don't get KG. They likely won't be part of this blockbuster deal. Gerald Green, Theo Ratliff, #5, and other fillers would be the absolute MOST they would give up in any deal without involving KG, IMO. Even that seems unlikely though. I wouldn't give up all of that for JO personally.

Wasn't it origionally a three team proposed deal between Minny, Indy, and L.A.?... I think it was the Celts that were so eager to get in on it too so for them to complain about not letting go of Al Jefferson... fine keep him keep the same team you had last season and see how many people renew their season tickets... The Celtics not being involved wont kill this deal.
