I'm just wondering if anyone has. My worst expierance was last week. I went to this theater on the North Side of Chicago to watch Syriana. They wouldn't let me see it b/c it's rated R and I didn't have my school ID with me. They let me see Brokeback Mountian, which is also rated R. I saw that to see the 2 films, you had to walk down the same corridor. So I said, fine, I'll see Brokeback Mountain. I took the ticket, went down the corridor, and went into Syriana. I was so pissed at them for making it hell though
Happens to me every time I go. I'm only 16, but since I have a drivers liscense I just flash it in the ticket booth person's face and they don't really check my birthdate. But when I'm with my friends, not all my friends have drivers liscenses, so they can't get tickets, so going to the movies sucks unless I can find someone cool enough that is over 21 to buy me and all my friends tickets and pretend to be our guardian. I don't know why theatres have to be so rediculous.

Thats what I always did before I turned old enough. Thank God I dont have to worry about that crap anymore. lol
My theatre has the same machine, and has had it for a while. But the problem is, when a movie is real bad, they have ppl that stand in front of the DOOR to the movie to check your ID, if you aren't old enough they make you turn around and get a refund. It is REDICULOUS.

I think that's against the law for them to NOT give you a refund. If you buy a ticket and they don't let you into the damn film, they don't deserve your money. You pay to see the movie, so if they can't show it to you, I think they are OBLIGATED to give your money back. I'm pretty sure thats how movie theatres have to roll.
I guess. This theater I went to is not actually the one I go to. I had to see this movie, and it was convenient to get there (the L stops a block away from it, I live 1/2 hour by foot from L station) The one I usually go to never check for ID.
Yeah, from just about everybody in the theatre to see a 7:00 viewing of Fun with Dick and Jane lol.I actually work at the movie theater here and one of the speakers busted on one of the screenings of Fun with Dick and Jane.Of course,I had to try and fix it and everybody was like getting mad, tapping on the window and stuff because it took me like 5-6 minutes to fix.It was making some aweful buzzing noise lol.Ehh probally just my friends giving me a hard time lol.
