If not, I urge you to do so. It was a COMPLETE eye-opener for me! As Yogi Berra once said, "It's like deja vu all over again." I had NO idea so many racial injustices had been committed and even applauded over the decades. Literally, this documentary brought me to tears.
When did you watch it? I've seen many similar documentaries, in fact saw a few while in college. This is why I believe there has been systemic racism in our country for years and that oppression is a real thing.
I watched it this afternoon. One thing I can say is, incarceration for profit goes against EVERYTHING I can think of! BTW, this is a 2016 production, but is JUST as relevant today as it ever was!
Very true. I am not trying to be antagonistic here, but does it change how you perceive the protests and even the looting? (not the people appropriating this into something its not, but the actual people who are supporting BLM, etc)
