<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Hawks Press Release - The Atlanta Hawks today waived veteran guard Tony Delk, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Billy Knight. In his 10th season from the University of Kentucky, Delk played in one regular season game for the Hawks this year (Feb. 12 at Sacramento), scoring two points in seven minutes. Over his career, he has averaged 9.2 ppg, 2.5 rpg and 1.9 apg (.407 FG%, .340 3FG%, .771 FT%) in 522 regular season contests.</div>Good move, they had too amny pg's on their roster and Delk hardly played.
Pistons might be in the mix for picking up Delk. I know he wont sit at home the rest of the season, some one will pick him up

I was hoping for someone more like Tyronne Lue.
I loved Delk on the Suns and I just can't understand why the Hawks didn't play him. He was a good, veteran player which they needed on that young team. Both his talent and experience...I hope the Pistons do not get him. The only hope I have of the Suns winning the Finals is that the Pistons have no depth.
I read an article that the Pistons were interested in signing Delk or at least he could be a fit. Insurance.
As a Raptor fan, I would want him. I think we need more at pg. When Mike is playing sg we need someone to back up Jose that can actually play, I say we release Martin and go pickup Delk. He's a veteran that can still play. And I bet he wouldnt mind sitting on the bench most of the time because he got splinters riding the bench this year. But you guys are right. Someone like the Pistons could need him alot more.
