so theres a lot of stuff about them cleaning house and trading shareef to new york or minnesota or god knows where. but it hink the hawks should just take their lumps this year and keep at least their core (Shareef G-rob Terry and Theo) they have potential to defeinetly be a playoff club with those guys it just isnt happening yet. if they made a run at kidd and got him theyd be a force and probably make the finals pretty soon

The problem is, if they keep their core, they can't make a run at Kidd. They have a ton of talent, but it's not meshing well together. They're the anti-Pistons.

When you are paying over paying a team and they are not producing and attendance is horrible, you have to break up that core. The Hawks are not getting it done with their current personnel and they need to basically start over.

The bottom line, it's costing the Hawks too much money to lose games.

yes. i agree. their situation is somewhat similar to the clippers. a lot of talent that just isnt working together and winning games. still, if they had a point gaurd like jason kidd it would be a different story. youd have to assume theyd be better than the nets with kidd who cant stay out of last place without him.
