Both are excellent. Perry Mason is a dark take on the original. Great casting. I'll Be Gone in the Dark is a gripping real life whodunit and the tragic story of the woman who hunted a demon. Anyone watching these?
I've watched the first four and have five and six copied. Kind of saving those akin to saving dessert for later. Debating with myself whether to watch no. five today or save it for a dialysis day when I'm feeling low and need a pick me up. I'm enjoying it except I wish the main character could handle hand to hand combat a little better. Please don't give any secrets away because I'm savoring the unseen episodes.
